Pierre Emerick Aubameyang may have scored a hat-trick for Arsenal last night, but Kevin Campbell suggested live on Sky Sports that he could have been even more effective if he was used more regularly by his teammates.
Ignored?
Aubameyang was in fine form, as he struck his first three goals of the season at the Hawthorns.
Arsenal won the game 6-0, but at half-time Campbell still felt there was reason to suggest that the Gunners needed to improve.
The former Arsenal striker claims that Aubameyang simply wasn’t passed the ball enough.
There were times when Aubameyang appeared to break in behind the West Brom back-line, only to be ignored by his teammates.
And Campbell said: “I’m not happy. I’m seeing fundamental mistakes. The amount if times Aubameyang needs service and doesn’t really get it.
“Arsenal get lucky, just because of tenacious play by Saka [for the first].
“Aubameyang is the best striker we’ve got and he’s there to put the ball in.
“But I just think the amount of runs he makes and doesn’t get the ball, I’d be frustrated and I am frustrated.”

Aubameyang off the mark
Aubameyang is unlikely to be too unhappy with the service that he received last night, at least.
Arsenal’s performance was unquestionably their strongest of the season so far, with Martin Odegaard excelling after signing permanently.
Aubameyang’s third goal was the highlight of the night, as he curled in a wonderful shot from the edge of the box, to complete his hat-trick.
It should be stressed that Arsenal will face much tougher tests than last night though.
West Brom named a very young side for the contest, as they protected players for their Championship campaign.
Arsenal, meanwhile, put out a strong line-up – and while the win will bring some much needed confidence for the side, they are set to face Manchester City in their next outing, in what could be a huge challenge.
