‘I’m going to tell you’: Fabrizio Romano has just dropped Leeds transfer bombshell

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Leeds United are currently working on a late, late signing on transfer deadline day.

The Whites were seemingly closing in on the signing of Bamba Dieng earlier on today.

However, the Marseille striker had a change of heart, snubbing Leeds for a move to Nice.

In a further twist, Dieng then failed his medical with Les Aiglons.

Leeds are also set to lose Daniel James, who has completed his medical with Fulham on loan.

Romano took to Twitter at 10:44pm to provide an update on the James move.

He then dropped a transfer bombshell in saying Leeds are “working on a new signing after Dieng story”.

A little earlier, Romano had said on his Twitch stream: “I’m going to tell you that Leeds are doing something.

“They are not done with Bamba Dieng collapsing.”

Romano’s co-host then added: “They might be the last transfer of the deadline day.”

It’s been an eventful day for Leeds – and fans – on the transfer front.

Despite the disappointment of the Dieng snub, it looks as though Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani may have one more ace up their sleeve.
