A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from Sky Sports claiming that Ryan Sessegnon is set to return to full training this week.

Sessegnon appears to be approaching a crucial period in his Spurs career. You can understand why some fans may be tempted to write the 21-year-old off.

Big things were expected of the left-sided star when he arrived for £25 million back in 2019. However, he has only made 14 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Certainly, with Ben Davies moving into the left centre-back role, it does appear that the youngster may have moved up the pecking order at wing-back.

And with Sergio Reguilon yet to silence all of his critics, it would seem that the door may be open for Sessegnon – provided that he can now stay fit.
