‘I’m a bit biased’… Dimitar Berbatov has predicted who will win – Manchester United or Tottenham

Manchester United face Tottenham this weekend, and one man who knows a lot about this fixture is Dimitar Berbatov.

The Bulgarian is a hero at both clubs after his incredible spell in the Premier League in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

Berbatov, of course, has a soft spot for both clubs, and speaking to The Mirror, he’s been asked to predict the outcome of this weekend’s game.

Indeed, Berbatov has been asked to choose between his two former clubs, and he’s, interestingly, tipped Manchester United to win this one 1-0 against Spurs.

Berbatov tips United win

The former striker gave his verdict on how this game will pan out.

“That’s a tough one man, that’s a tough one., I would like both teams to progress to get the top four, Spurs to win a trophy finally at some point, and the same goes for United, a Premier League title, it’s been so long now. I’m a bit biased here but I’d probably go for United to win because they’re playing at Old Trafford and they need the points. Maybe a one goal difference, they can go and win 1-0 or something like this,” Berbatov said.

We can understand why Berbatov is tipping a United win. After all, Old Trafford is never an easy place to go, but, at the same time, we can’t see this one being 1-0.

Tottenham are one of the most attacking teams in the league and United’s recent defensive record isn’t great – conceding nine in their last five league games.

United may well edge this one, but we can see this being a high scoring affair if the Red Devils are indeed to get the victory.

It’s hard to imagine Tottenham heading to Old Trafford and failing to find the back of the net.
