Wednesday night should have seen the potentially season-defining clash between Leeds United and Fulham at Elland Road – but the Championship leaders did their best to not let the supporters go completely without with the football season currently on hiatus.

The Whites marked what should have been Sunday’s fixture with Cardiff City by live-streaming a game of FIFA between the two clubs.

And after Marcelo Bielsa’s side got the three points, they decided to repeat the trick for what should have been their latest fixture.

And again, it was good news for Leeds. Goals from Pablo Hernandez and Jack Harrison – who also scored against Cardiff – saw the Whites see off Scott Parker’s side.

And it appears that the game attracted the attention of at least one member of Bielsa’s squad.

Illan Meslier has recently broken into the starting lineup having previously made his debut at Arsenal back in January.

The Frenchman has made two Championship appearances for the Whites. And he is yet to concede a league goal, with Leeds beating Hull City and Huddersfield Town.

And the youngster could not help but notice that he cannot be beaten on FIFA either.

The 20-year-old reacted to the game with a three-word tweet Leeds fans will love…
