‘I’ll tell you what’…Gary Lineker says £22m Tottenham player definitely has a ‘little bit of attitude’

Tottenham’s attacking players got them comfortably over the line against Aston Villa this weekend as they stormed to a 4-0 win.

The forward players all got in on the act as Brennan Johnson, Timo Werner and Heung-Min Son all got on the scoresheet, as well as James Maddison.

In defence, Radu Dragusin and Cristian Romero impressed, with the injury to Micky van de Ven being the only blot on a brilliant day.

But going back to those attacking players, Heung-Min Son was once again flying, as he scored and assisted twice in the game. And speaking about the South Korean forward, Gary Lineker made an observation about the Spurs star’s attitude.

Heung-Min Son has an attitude about him, says Gary Lineker

Speaking on the Rest Is Football podcast, Lineker was full of praise for Son and spoke highly of him.

“I’ll tell you what else he has got as well. He’s got a little bit of attitude as well. You always think with his interviews after the game and he always has a smile on his face and he’s nice and polite. But you can see when he doesn’t get the ball when he thinks he should be, he absolutely dishes out the b*llockings,” Lineker said.

Son is a superstar

Tottenham paid £22m for Heung-Min Son and you have to say, it’s one of the best signings in Premier League history.

Son has been nothing short of outstanding, especially since Harry Kane left. Both Alan Shearer and Micah Richards rave about him on this same podcast but the comments from Lineker on his attitude are interesting as well.

At the end of the day, the top players in the world all have a bit more about them. Son has that in his character, he just knows when to let it go.

Tottenham are in a fine position to make the top four this season and Son is a key part of that.
