Man City defender Benjamin Mendy has been linked with a transfer to Inter Milan.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Serie A title holders are keen on the French international. Inter are interested in signing a new left-back this summer, and Mendy is one of many players the Nerazzurri are considering.

The defender was a bit-part player for the Cityzens last season. Indeed, Mendy started just 17 games in all competitions, with the 26-year-old not even making the pitch for the UEFA Champions League final.

Oleksandr Zinchencko has established himself as City’s number one left-back last season. Moreover, supporters on social media are begging the club to sell Mendy this summer.

The defender has had a disappointing spell since joining the club in 2017. Indeed, Mendy’s time with City has been plagued with injuries and inconsistent performances, and fans are praying the defender leaves this summer.

As well as Mendy, Inter are eager on Manchester United defender Alex Telles as well as Liverpool fullback Konstas Tsimikas. The Italian champions lost Ashley Young to Aston Villa earlier in the window.
