Liverpool beat Manchester City 3-1 at Anfield to put a nine-point gap between the sides in the Premier League table.
The Reds won thanks to goals from Fabinho, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, and they lead the way at the summit by eight points, with Leicester City and Chelsea now in second and third.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are in a brilliant position, and will hope to keep the momentum going as the games start to come thick and fast.
On Sunday, it was a brilliant collective performance from the league leaders with everyone stepping up against the champions.
Difícil encontrar un tridente como este: Salah, Firmino & Mane 👍

Liverpool’s front three were again praised for their effectiveness, and watching on was legendary Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas, who wrote on Twitter: “Hard to find a trident like this: Salah, Firmino & Mane.”
The 38-year-old has faced the trio three times in the Champions League with FC Porto and knows first-hand what they bring.
TBR’s view – Best in the world?
Arguably right now, there isn’t an attacking unit out there that’s as effective as Mane, Salah and Firmino.
Not only are they devastating in front of goal, but they are fantastic at harrying defenders and forcing mistakes.
They are so well drilled and cohesive and Jurgen Klopp deserves major credit for turning them into the force they are.
Casillas is right – for a team to have an attacking trident with such quality is a rare thing
They were brilliant at Anfield on Sunday and the scary thing for other teams is, they all still have room to improve as the season wears on.
