PSV starlet Mohamed-Amine Ihattaren has signed a contract extension with the club, taking him up until 2022.
The Dutchman is one of the hottest prospects in the Eredivisie having burst onto the scene this season.
He’s made six appearances for the PSV first-team, but the bulk of his game time has come with the club’s U19s in the domestic league and the UEFA Youth League.

Ihattaren has impressed with his pace, dribbling and tendency to be direct.
It is a coup for PSV that he felt compelled to extend his contract, considering there had been some speculation linking him away.
Have Everton missed out?
One such club that were linked were Everton, with director of football Marcel Brands having had some very kind words to say about the youngster.

“Frankly, I’d like to have him with Everton tomorrow, he’s so good,” he said (via VI).
Brands knows all about Ihattaren’s qualities having been the club’s director of football before moving to Goodison Park.
The Toffees never ended up moving for Ihattaren and they could now regret it.

Admittedly he is still very young and raw, but there’s a good chance his value will soon shoot up and other club’s will come sniffing.
He is a player that could bring fresh impetus to the attacking midfield and wide areas for Everton, but the ship may have sailed with PSV tieing him down.
