Darren Bent has said that Kieran Trippier would be perfect for Tottenham given their situation at right wing-back.
Just weeks after Mauricio Pochettino guided Spurs into the 2019 Champions League final, he sold Trippier to Atletico Madrid.
Trippier is of course now back in England with Newcastle United, who he joined in a £12 million move during the January transfer window.
On TalkSPORT, Bent was talking about which England players Tottenham would most love to sign given the balance of their squad right now.

Bent on Trippier
He said: “If you’re a Spurs fan, where your current team are, Reece James would be the (England player you would most like to sign).
“Reece James, or even, Trent (Alexander-Arnold) or (Kieran) Trippier.
“Any of that right back situation.”
England are blessed with right-backs, with another player sold by Tottenham – Kyle Walker – in the squad and operating in that area of the pitch.
Spurs now have Emerson Royal as first choice, with Matt Doherty and Djed Spence in reserve.
Those three right wing-backs have been signed by their last three managers but none of them seem to be at the standard required.
Trippier and Walker are on another level but there is next to no chance they will be going back to Spurs, and they are now focused on winning the World Cup for England.
