Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has been putting his players through their paces ahead of their FA Cup fourth-round clash with Brighton.

The Spurs manager has received a number of good news in the past couple of days.

After a lacklustre January transfer-wise, Tottenham got two signings over the line on deadline day.

Sweden winger Dejan Kulusevski and Uruguay midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur both joined Spurs from Juventus.

Then, Tottenham duo Son Heung-min and Cristian Romero have both been taking part in training.

Spurs then managed to secure a work permit for Kulusevski, who’s also been seen on the Hotspur Way pitches.

And now, according to football.london, Bentancur has secured his work permit and has linked up with his teammates.

The Uruguay midfielder had been on international duty when the transfer was completed.

Bentancur scored in Tuesday’s 4-1 World Cup qualifying win over Venezuela.

Football.london claims the midfielder arrived in the UK on Thursday morning.

Bentancur reportedly trained with the rest of the Spurs squad in the afternoon.

There were no complications in obtaining his work permit, added the report.

While Tottenham haven’t confirmed whether Bentancur has arrived, football.london’s report is exciting.

With Bentancur having been a Juve regular and featuring for Uruguay in midweek, he’s obviously match-fit.

So there’s a good chance Conte could name him in the matchday squad against Brighton.

The prospect of Bentancur and Kulusevski debuting, as well as Son and Romero back in action, will excite Spurs fans.

Bentancur has received some incredible praise over the years.

Football.london has shared a quote about Bentancur from Gazzetta dello Sport just a few months after he joined Juve in 2017.

“What has already emerged is his extraordinary talent to handle the ball, treating it like water in the desert,” they wrote.

“It is rare to see a (then) 20-year-old boy with his personality. Bentancur wants the ball at his feet and is always ready to start to move from box to box.

“The integrity of his repertoire makes him adaptable to almost every role in midfield.”

And last year, former Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo also praised the midfielder on his strength.

“Mamma mia…ball and chain is the best in the world. Maybe only Iniesta I saw stronger than him,” Pirlo admitted.
