Gary Lineker has urged Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to deploy Trent Alexander-Arnold in midfield against Arsenal this weekend.
The Reds have been amazing this season. They are currently five points clear at the top of the Premier League table, and a win against Arsenal could make a big difference in the title race. Alan Shearer and Lineker both want to see Alexander-Arnold start in midfield.

Gary Lineker wants Trent Alexander-Arnold in Liverpool’s midfield vs Arsenal
Liverpool have a new young sensation in their first team, and his name is Conor Bradley.
The 20-year-old has started at right-back for the Reds in their last few games, and he has been incredible. Everybody’s raving about him, and he deserves every bit of praise that comes his way.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was fit and available against Chelsea this week, but Jurgen Klopp left him on the bench and continued with young Bradley.
It will be interesting to see what Klopp will do against Arsenal this weekend, but Gary Lineker has urged the Liverpool boss to use Bradley at right-back and and Alexander-Arnold in the middle of the park.
After Alan Shearer said ‘play Trent in midfielder now’, Lineker added on The Rest is Football podcast: “I was thinking, that gives them the excuse to move him in.
“I’d love to see that happen. Particularly if it was for the rest of the season, just to see because I’ve always wondered. I know he has kind of played that semi-midfield role recently and he has played in there a few times.
“I’d like to see that. It could be a real plus for Liverpool and England, with Bradley playing there and Trent’s passing ability is second to none.”

Trent Alexander-Arnold in midfield could cause Arsenal problems
Trent Alexander-Arnold has always made the headlines when Arsenal and Liverpool have faced each other recently.
In the game at the Emirates last season, the Englishman really struggled against Gabriel Martinelli. In the reverse fixture, he assisted Roberto Firmino‘s late equaliser.
In their Premier League meeting earlier this season, Alexander-Arnold made a big difference with a stunning assist to Mohamed Salah.
If you remember correctly, the Englishman, even though he started at right-back, was in a midfield position when he made that delightful pass.
Starting Alexander-Arnold in midfield on Sunday would be a great idea for Liverpool as his passing could really trouble the Gunners.
