Liverpool welcomed Danny Ings and Southampton back to Anfield today as they continued their title pursuit.
A 4-0 win for Jurgen Klopp’s men perhaps didn’t tell the whole story. A closely fought first period ended goalless before the Reds dominated the second half to run out comfortable victors.
Goals from Henderson, Chamberlain, and a double from Mo Salah saw the Reds home. It’s now 25 games unbeaten and looking increasingly likely to go the season unbeaten.

However, despite the win for Liverpool, former striker, Danny Ings, put in an impressive display for the Saints.
He could have had a penalty after a clash with Fabinho, while his running and harrying of the Liverpool defence caused more problems than most have managed this season.
Ings endured a wretched spell at Anfield previously. A number of injuries, plus the form of other players, meant Ings struggled to get going for the Reds.
However, he showed what they are missing with his display today. Indeed, a number of Liverpool fans took to Twitter to sing the praises of Ings’ performance following the game…

England calling – TBR View
Sometimes things don’t work out for the best for different reasons. It was a case of this with Ings during his spell with Liverpool
His move to Southampton has been the making of him. No longer a nearly man, he looks one of the most accomplished strikers in the Premier League.
Hopefully, this performance proves to everyone just how good he can be. Saints fans will be delighted with what Ings is doing on a weekly basis, and England recognition might now beckon.
Gareth Southgate simply cannot ignore just how well Ings is playing.
Liverpool, then, might well just consider re-signing Danny Ings in the summer if he continues to play as he is.
