Ibrahima Konate says Liverpool have a ‘crazy’ player who’s so good it confuses him

Liverpool have opened this season in the best possible way with back-to-back wins against Ipswich and Brentford.

The Reds have taken six points from a possible six to start the Arne Slot era, and, to the surprise of nobody, Mohamed Salah has been at the centre of the Reds’ brilliance.

Indeed, Salah has netted two goals in two games, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

Speaking on the Official Liverpool Podcast after the game, Ibrahima Konate has been full of praise for Salah, claiming that he doesn’t understand how the Egyptian keeps playing like this season after season.

Ibrahima Konate confused by Mohamed Salah’s brilliance

Konate shared his verdict on Salah and his continued amazing form.

“This guy is crazy. I am a really big fan of Mo. Every season it is the same story. Even when you go to the African Cup he has a lot of goals. I don’t understand how he does it really. He’s a big inspiration for me. I see it everyday how he works and I want to be like him really,” Konate said.

Mohamed Salah’s consistency is ridiculous

Konate says he doesn’t understand how Salah keeps doing this, and, to be honest, we can understand why.

Salah has hit levels of excellency and consistency that you very rarely see in the Premier League.

He’s been in and around the Golden Boot race for seven consecutive seasons now, and you wouldn’t back against him running Erling Haaland close this term either.

Salah has been so good for so long, and at the age of 32, it’s unbelievable that he keeps producing these types of performances.

Regardless of what happens with Salah’s contract and his future at Liverpool, the Egyptian will go down as one of the greatest players to ever put on a red shirt.

Liverpool are so lucky to have Salah.
