Liverpool were clearly euphoric at their penalty shootout win over Chelsea yesterday. Jurgen Klopp had challenged his team to win more trophies to ensure their legacy and they delivered in a high pressure situation. The Reds tucked all 11 penalties away in a remarkable show of character, proving just why they’re one of the best sides in world football.

And as for the celebrations, well, the Reds players certainly made sure to enjoy themselves. Albeit, for Ibrahima Konate, things got a bit too close for comfort when it came to the victory confetti.

Spotted by an eagle-eyed supporter on Twitter, Konate – who tucked his penalty away expertly – was seen almost choking on a piece of confetti during the celebrations. Of course, it wasn’t anything too serious and he laughed it off, much to the amusement of Andy Robertson as well!

Konate, who only signed in the summer, will have been delighted to get that first trophy under his belt. In the future, though, he might just be that bit more conscious about that dreaded ‘choking hazard’ that is confetti!
