Rangers fans received news coming out of Ibrox yesterday that captain James Tavernier has signed a new deal, which prompted a brilliant response from some of his club teammates.
Tavernier, who will soon get to officially lift the league trophy after already clinching the title, has extended his future with the Scottish giants.
The 29-year-old defender has signed a two-year extension on his Gers deal to stay until 2024.
His goal output for a right-back this season has been freakish, scoring 17 goals and supplying 15 assists in 41 games across all competitions.
The English full-back posted an emotional message on Instagram after signing his new deal on Tuesday.
Gers teammates Ianis Hagi and Jermaine Defoe were among those to respond.

TBR’s View:
Tavernier has been on the emotional rollercoaster with Rangers since he joined back in 2015, and there was a time when some fans majorly doubted him even if they try to forget about that now.
He’s gone on to bookmark his name in history, as his current Rangers team halted Celtic when they were on the brink of 10 league titles in a row.
With Tavernier committing his future, next season is about Gers manager Steven Gerrard strengthening to a fantastic core group of players at Ibrox, and trying to get them to become serial winners for an extended period of time.
