Arsenal lost 2-0 to Leicester City today and the scoreline did not reflect the performance n the pitch. Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, that’s because Leicester deserved more. The Foxes dominated the Gunners for 90 minutes and Unai Emery’s position as Arsenal manager now appears to be under serious threat.
It was a performance that left one Arsenal legend exacerbated on Twitter. Ian Wright is a hero at Arsenal and still regularly attends matches at The Emirates. But he was overwhelmingly negative on Twitter after the game.
He criticised the defending and suggested Emery might have to go. However, on top of it all, he lamented the side’s lack of creativity, asking why the two top forwards at the club would want to renew their contracts at Arsenal at this rate.
1 shot on target tonight!! 2 wins in 10 in the league. No definitive style or plan. Negative goal difference. No improvement in the defence. Not creating anything. Why would Laca or Auba renew? Can’t blame them! We have to make the tough decision Arsenal! It’s not getting better! pic.twitter.com/YYUYyOeUqu

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are two of the most lethal strikers n the Premier League when given the opportunities.
With that in mind, Arsenal want both players at the club for the long-haul. Aubameyang is out of contract in 2021 whilst Lacazette’s expires in 2022.
Arsenal would undoubtedly want both to be tied down to something more substantial. Indeed, there have been mumblings on social media this week that both players are holding out on new deals due to the club’s poor league form.
If the club’s form, especially in attack, does not improve soon, there is no doubt other clubs will start to look enviously at their striking talents.
