Ian Wright has shared what should be worrying a lot of people about Tottenham Hotspur, as he lauded Ange Postecoglou for the way he has never complained about the problems facing his squad.
Wright was speaking on The Kelly and Wrighty Show as he suggested that Spurs are going to be a real force again once they get all of their players back.
Ange Postecoglou silenced a lot of his doubters at the weekend. Some clearly felt that Tottenham were going to get torn apart if they did not change their style against Manchester City.
Ian Wright shares what he likes about Ange Postecoglou
Spurs have so many players out right now. Cristian Romero was serving the final game of a suspension. James Maddison is set to be out until the new year. And Micky van de Ven is also sidelined. So they were missing some massively important players. They went into their trip at the Etihad Stadium having lost their last three in the league.

However, Postecoglou stuck to his principles. And Tottenham got their rewards with a 3-3 draw.
Ian Wright suggested that the result sends out an ominous warning to Tottenham’s rivals. He also went on to praise Postecoglou for the way he has led the team through this difficult patch.
“When you get the other players back, if you can stay doing what you’re doing now and getting results against the best in the league, honestly then you think of what Tottenham are going to be capable of doing once they do get the other fit players back, because what I like about him, he’s not complaining about who’s out. Because they’ve got some top players out. They’re just getting it done. And they got it done against City. And that should be a worrying thing for a lot of people,” he told The Kelly and Wrighty Show.
A lot of lazy punditry exposed
There seemed to be a lot of lazy punditry going into the game against City. So even as a neutral, it was particularly satisfying to see Tottenham get a positive result.
Postecoglou has got to where he is because of his style of football. And he has benefitted from being unwilling to compromise on his principles.
Tottenham are going to lose games because of the brand of football. But Spurs fans will surely take the odd defeat under Postecoglou over what they had to sit through and endure last season.
