The atmosphere around Arsenal is pretty positive going into the international break.
Although the Gunners dropped points in their last Premier League fixture, there is certainly cause for optimism ahead of the restart in two weeks’ time.
Arsenal enjoyed a bright summer on the transfer front in which they made several big signings, including a real deadline-day blockbuster.
After rumours began swirling round involving the Gunners and Raheem Sterling in the last few days of the window, things moved quickly on transfer deadline day.
Then, just after the transfer window shut at 11pm, Fabrizio Romano declared “here we go” on Sterling’s loan move to Arsenal. From then on, the deal was on the home straight.
Now, Ian Wright has given an emphatic verdict on the England international’s switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Ian Wright says Raheem Sterling deal will be even better “when” he wins it for Arsenal at Tottenham
Wright, speaking on the Wrighty’s House podcast, said he is “absolutely delighted” to see Sterling at N5.
The Highbury legend feels it’s a “magnificent” move for Arsenal, and believes Sterling suits the red and white shirt.
Indeed, the “only way” the deal could be any better, according to Wright, is “when” the 29-year-old scores the winner in the upcoming North London derby.
“I’m absolutely delighted, the way the deal’s panned out,” said Wright. “When I heard Fulham were in for (Nelson), I thought yeah, I think Raheem’s on his way.
“And when you consider the deal, Raheem, family doesn’t have to move, point to prove, knows the manager, ain’t got a problem with rotation playing, experience…
“You think to yourself that is a magnificent deal for us, a really good signing for us, at 29, Chelsea are paying the majority, it’s almost like it can’t get any better.
“The only way it’s gonna get any better is when he scores the winner against Tottenham. That’s when you think this is it, it’s meant to be.
“You know when you see a player in your shirt… he suits our shirt, 100 percent.”

How Arsenal won deadline day with Sterling deal
In the transfer window, clubs must always have their wits about them in case a great opportunity pops up.
And in the case of the Sterling deal, they’ve certainly done just that, getting themselves in a great stance against a Chelsea side that very much weakened their own position.
The Blues made it clear there was no way back for Sterling in the matchday squad, which suggested they were desperate to offload him.
Arsenal went on to negotiate themselves a superb deal for a world-class winger in his prime, for no transfer fee, and with a large chunk of his salary still subsidised by Chelsea.
For years, there was much debate over Bukayo Saka’s workload, and now the Gunners have a player who can compete with – and deputise for – him on the right.
Sterling can also play on the left and even up front, which makes for the kind of versatile star Mikel Arteta loves to have at his disposal.
