Ian Wright says there’s only one thing that can stop Arsenal winning the league now

Arsenal are in a great position to go on and win the Premier League this season.

The Gunners have found their best form at just the right time, and if they can keep this up until the end of the season, they will be champions.

However, as always, that is much easier said than done, and speaking on The Kelly and Wrighty Show, Ian Wright has been discussing the Gunners’ title chances.

Wright is confident about Arsenal’s hopes of winning the league, but he says that the one thing that could halt the north London club is their mentality, claiming that any lapse in concentration could ultimately cost the side the title.

What could stop Arsenal winning the league

Wright spoke about the Gunners’ hopes.

“It’s a mentality thing now. They have the numbers to back themselves up, but it’s down to mentality now. Getting it done. That’s the only thing if there’s a lapse in concentration. They have to go and beat Man City. I think the only thing that can stop them now is if there is a mentality slip and something like that happens,” Wright said.

Hardest part

Mentality could be the big hurdle that stops Arsenal from winning the league, and that is the hardest part of the game to master.

For years we’ve seen top teams and top players struggle to get over that final line, and, as of yet, Arsenal haven’t proven that they have what it takes to get there.

Yes, this Arsenal team are talented, but many of the Gunners’ key players aren’t proven winners, and when push comes to shove, they may well crumble under the pressure.

Whether or not Arsenal can get over the line remains to be seen, but make no mistake about it, this won’t be easy.
