Ian Wright has explained that he feels the quality of Liverpool’s Curtis Jones is going under the radar right now.
Jones has made 27 senior appearances so far this season in all competitions and become a fully integrated part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
The Liverpool-born midfielder is a huge talent to come through the Reds academy, scoring three goals and supplying four assists this campaign.
Aged 20, the youngster has slotted effortlessly into a group full of world-class stars and he looks right at home.
The English midfielder is nowhere near the finished article and doesn’t start every match, but right now he’s in favour with manager Jurgen Klopp and is adding an extra offensive threat.
Wright has given a special mention to Jones after his performance this week in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League last 16 first leg tie.
“I think he’s going too under the radar. They gave the man of the match to Ozan Kabak [against Leipzig]… but Curtis Jones, the way he continuously just closed down Kevin Kampl and closed everything down,” Wright said on his podcast.

TBR’s View:
Jones completed 90 minutes in Tuesday night’s win over Leipzig, showing both qualities in and out of possession.
The all-action midfielder is buying into Klopp’s high intensity style and the potential is there for him to become such a huge talent in the future.
He’ll be learning so much right now picking the brains of the likes of Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum, who are perfect examples of what he should try to relpicate.
