Arsenal have been very frustrating to watch in recent weeks.
The Gunners have been in poor form, and even their biggest supporters have had some complaints as of late.
Ian Wright is usually the most positive man in the world when it comes to Arsenal, but during their game against Liverpool last week, he made his thoughts clear that they needed a striker.
Wright tweeted ‘we need a killer’ during the game, but now, speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, the pundit says he’s changed his mind.

Wright says Arsenal will be fine
The pundit shared his verdict on Arsenal’s situation and his tweet during the Liverpool game.
“I don’t think so no, with time to reflect, watching that game I was seeing so many chances created and missed, and it was so frustrating, but with hindsight I probably wouldn’t have put that tweet out, but that’s how it goes. We’re creating chances, to have four players in double figures last season nowhere near their numbers, it’s an anomaly, it’s not right what’s going on,” Wright said.
Good enough
Wright is spot on here.
Could Arsenal do with a new striker? Maybe, but do they need one to win the league? Absolutely not.
Let’s not forget, Arsenal scored 88 league goals last season with this exact roster of attacking options, they know how to score when they’re on form. It’s just about rediscovering that cutting edge.
Of course, something needs to improve on that front, but it’s not necessarily a new signing that is needed, just more confidence from the players who did so well last season.
Whether or not Arsenal sign a striker remains to be seen, but we wouldn’t blame them at all if they decided against adding a new number nine this month.
Arsenal need more goals, but they can find the net more often without spending millions on a shiny new centre-forward.
