Ian Wright has claimed that Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson gets better every time he watches him.
The 20-year-old has been a revelation in Steve Cooper’s Forest side this season and his performances have attracted interested from the likes of Newcastle and Leeds United.
After a fruitful loan spell at Lincoln City in League One last year, the Wales international has been one of the standout performers in the Championship this season.

From 36 Championship games, Johnson has 11 goals and five assists to his name. He also scored in the 4-1 win to knock holders Leicester City out the FA Cup.
Ian Wright impressed by Brennan Johnson

Johnson’s club form has resulted in Wales boss Robert Page giving the youngster chances to impress in international football.
Forest’s number 20 picked up his first assist for the senior Wales side in last night’s 1-1 draw against Czech Republic where he played a deft pass onto the onrushing for Rubin Colwill.
Former England and Arsenal striker Wright was full of praise for Johnson’s Wales performance and he was full of praise for the attacking midfielder who he clearly enjoys watching.

Speaking on ITV Football’s International Highlights Show, Wright said: “When you’re seeing players like that coming through, it has got to be quite exciting. Brennan Johnson, every time you see him he looks better. 11 goals, five assists this season in the Championship. They are improving.”
The Athletic recently reported that a fee of £20million was required to sell Johnson – with both Leeds and Newcastle seemingly interested.
Football London reporter Alasdair Gold has noted Tottenham managing director Fabio Paratici personally scouted the City Ground star last month.
With Forest having their own Premier League aspirations with a play-off spot in their sights and Brennan Johnson’s performances continuing to impress the likes of Ian Wright, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see his valuation and asking price continue to soar.
