Arsenal legend Ian Wright has praised Emile Smith Rowe for his performance in the 2-1 win over Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium.
The former striker was covering the game for Optus Sport and was delighted with the youngster’s impact for the Gunners.
Smith Rowe has been forced to wait patiently for a chance to shine at Arsenal but he is now a firm favourite of Mikel Arteta’s.

The 20-year-old has played 13 times in the Premier League, registering four assists. He has also scored once and claimed two assists in the Europa League.
After yesterday’s game, Wright waxed lyrical about the performance, suggesting he was a constant menace to Jose Mourinho’s team.
He told Optus Sport: “You have to win this one. With the possession Arsenal had they deserved to go into the lead.
“They should have been cruising a bit more and Smith Rowe has run them ragged.”
Smith Rowe has endured some rotten luck with injuries in recent times at Arsenal. He did, however, enjoy a decent loan spell with Huddersfield Town last season.
Now he is grasping his Arsenal chance with both hands and that certainly bodes well for more opportunities.
TBR View: Smith Rowe has helped Arteta address a big problem
During the first half of the year, the Gunners were in dire straits with regards to creativity.
Arsenal were struggling to carve out chances and ultimately struggling to put the ball into the back of the net.

Smith Rowe’s first league outing came in December against Chelsea and after registering an assist, he hasn’t looked back.
Arteta identified the Arsenal youngster as a player who could come in and solve his conundrum and the move has paid off.
Supporters will now hope to see more youngsters make the step up to the first-team action and follow in the footsteps of Smith Rowe.
