Ian Wright has told Premier League Productions exactly why Thomas Partey is a sound signing for Arsenal.
The ex-striker was discussing the club’s summer transfer business when talk turned towards the Ghanian.
Partey signed for Arsenal during the summer transfer window for £45 million from Atletico Madrid.

The central midfielder has only managed eight Premier League outings after picking up an injury.
Wright believes his signing is a statement of intent though, calling him a ‘game-changing’ addition to the Arsenal ranks.
He told Premier League Productions: “He’s a game-changer simply because of the way he plays in midfield. He’s somebody that does not pass the ball sideways.
“He wants to pass it forward and that gets everybody forward.
“If you’ve got players like Emile Smith Rowe and Saka in an area where they can both pick up the ball, progress with the ball and run, then all of a sudden you have their defenders running backwards.
“You have people making runs and you are starting to creat, which we weren’t doing a few weeks back.”
TBR View: Partey is what Arsenal have been lacking for years
The Gunners have needed a player like the former Atletico Madrid star for several years.
Not since the departure of Patrick Vieira have the Gunners had a midfield enforcer – until now.
Partey does have some big shoes to slot into in that sense but at 27 he is at a good age to continue improving.

His Arsenal career hasn’t got off to the best possible start, given the injury he, unfortunately, picked up.
Partey has started the last two games, however, with the Gunners claiming wins over Newcastle and Southampton.
The man with 28 caps for his country hasn’t proved a cheap addition.
He cost £45 million, plus £250,000-a-week in wages but he does represent a sound long-term investment.
Partey could prove to be a game-changing signing for the Gunners and it’ll be exciting to see what he can achieve at the club.
