Ian Wright has voiced huge praise for Everton centre-forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin and is predicting him to have a huge future.
The 22-year-old is currently enjoying a brilliant run in the starting line-up, where he’s been included in the last six consecutive Premier League games.
He’s proven that he can lead the line with his pace and physicality, something that makes him difficult for defenders to handle.
The England Under-21 international scored in games against Cardiff City and Newcastle United recently, while he’s also impressed with his overall hold-up play in victories over Chelsea, West Ham and Arsenal.
Pundit Wright is amazed by his quality in the air and he’s growing into a real powerhouse that is strong in the penalty area.
“I love him in the air, he is powerful and very difficult for defenders to get near. He uses his body well. He is a someone defenders will not enjoy playing against,” Wright said, as quoted by the club’s official website.
“Gareth Southgate will be watching him. If he continues doing what he is now and improving the way he is – and produces consistently – then he will get a chance with England.
“I think he is a player with an exciting future.”

TBR’s View:
Calvert-Lewin is now up to eight goals across all competitions this season and is a vital part of an Everton team that is finally beginning to look settled under Marco Silva.
He’s proving he can have a future at Goodison Park as a leading attacker and it’s just end product that is holding him back right now from the next step.
The Toffees could do with more options at striker going into next year, but Calvert-Lewin is really making a case for himself to say he can be the number one centre-forward consistently under Silva.
The Merseyside club now have a chance of finishing seventh if they continue their form in the remaining five league games and it’s important for Calvert-Lewin to keep up his form.
