Arsenal came so close to winning the Premier League last season, and they will want to go one step further this term.

The Gunners need to step up another level to win the league this season, and after making just one signing this summer, they may need internal improvement to hit that next level.

Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been discussing Arsenal’s upcoming season, and he says that there are two players he’d really like to see improve this term.

Indeed, Wright says he’d really like to see both Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli have more of an impact this season.

The two Arsenal players Ian Wright wants to see improve

Wright spoke about the two Brazilians claiming he wants to see both men improve.

“Do you know what I’m praying for? I think we were five goals off City last season. What I’m saying it, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli have to bring more. We’re talking about them having half-decent seasons, they have to have more goals in them than what we saw, that’s what I would say,” Wright said.

Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli can do a lot more

Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are two fantastic players, but last season, they didn’t have the greatest of impacts.

Jesus and Martinelli’s goal tallies were way down on he 2022/23 season, and if they can get back to those kinds of levels, Arsenal will be breathing down Manchester City’s necks this season.

Jesus and Martinelli are two brilliant players who could be difference makers this season, but in order to do that, they need to work hard.

Jesus is apparently looking fitter than ever at the moment, and the striker could be in for an exciting season.
