Ian Wright raved about Chelsea owned Conor Gallagher live on air at half-time of England’s 10-0 demolition of San Marino.

The man on loan at Crystal Palace came on as a second-half substitute as the Three Lions secured a place at next winter’s World Cup.

Harry Kane scored four times for England and is now closing in on Wayne Rooney’s all-time record number of goals.

Tammy Abraham, Harry Maguire, Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Tyrone Mings all added goals. Filippo Fabbri also put through his own net.

Gallagher had been called up from the under-21s to make the trip to San Marino.

Declan Rice and Jack Grealish were both missing for last night and that saw the door swing open for Gallagher.

The 21-year-old has scored four times for Palace this season and is currently the joint top scorer.

He is thriving under the management of Patrick Vieira and former Eagles striker Wright praised him live on air last night.

The ex-talisman told ITV: “Brilliant. I’m absolutely delighted for him. He’s been magnificent with Palace this season as he was with West Brom last season. I’m delighted for him.”

Exciting: Gallagher deserves Chelsea chance

A move to South London with Crystal Palace does look like a good one for his development but Gallagher looks good for a Chelsea chance.

Thomas Tuchel has been keen to give youngsters a platform to impress and Gallagher is giving him some food for thought.

The youngster is impressing at Palace and now he’s made his international debut for the Three Lions.

With that in mind, Tuchel has to take a serious look at him ahead of next season and give him a chance in the Chelsea team.
