Ian Wright has told Wrighty’s House that he has not seen Harry Kane get enough credit for his movement before scoring the only goal as Tottenham Hotspur beat Wolves at the weekend.
Antonio Conte’s men picked up another important victory on Saturday. They were far from their best against Wolves. And some will suggest that they were fortunate to not come up against a prolific striker given some of the success Bruno Lage’s side had, particularly during the first-half.

But Spurs got the job done. And it was Kane who nodded home the only goal during the second-half.
The striker was there to head in after Ivan Perišić had flicked on a corner. Replays showed that he had completely shaken off Nathan Collins and headed home from a yard out.

Many would have criticised Collins for seemingly switching off and losing Kane. However, Wright believes that the Tottenham star deserves all of the credit for making the opportunity so easy for himself.
“Harry Kane’s movement for his goal was underrated, I didn’t see enough talking about how many moves he made when that ball was kicked to the point it got flicked on to the point where he got a tap-in a yard out,” he told Wrighty’s House.
“He made three moves on that defender and the last move he made, he was going towards the goal, the defender was going away from the goal. Because that is what you do when you’re an elite striker.”
Wright has not seen Harry Kane get enough credit
It is ominous for Tottenham’s rivals that Kane is already off the mark in the Premier League this season. There has been no talk of some kind of August hoodoo for the striker this time around.
He did not actually score in the top-flight until mid-October last season. Although he will admit that his preparation for that campaign was not ideal.
The 29-year-old has two goals in his opening three games. It is a high bar, but perhaps Kane could be about to enjoy the best campaign of his career. And possibly, for more than one reason.
