Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed (The Sun) that the club are yet to open contract talks with Alexandre Lacazette.
The 29-year-old is now into the final two years of his deal with the Gunners and has been linked with a number of moves away this summer, with Atletico, Inter, and Juventus all said to have expressed interest.

But Lacazette has started the season well, scoring in both opening games and seemingly cementing himself as the first-choice striker under Arteta, despite the emergence of Eddie Nketiah.
However, with his future still uncertain, a number of Gunners fans have been discussing Arteta’s update on the situation on social media.
It seems, looking at the responses, that some Arsenal fans want the club to cash in, while others think it’s sensible to reward a striker who is seemingly finding his feet properl under Arteta.
Here, then, is a look at what some Arsenal fans had to say in response to Arteta’s update on Lacazette, who earns a reported £182k-a-week with the Gunners.
