James Maddison forgot that Tottenham talisman Harry Kane won the World Cup Golden Boot in 2018.
Maddison has been included alongside Kane in England’s squad which is going in search of glory in Qatar, and will be looking to add to his one cap for his country.
This will be Kane’s second World Cup and fourth major tournament overall for England, and he scored six goals last time out in Russia.
Kane helped fire England to the semi-finals, where they were beaten by Croatia and will be looking to take the next step this time around.

Maddison forgets Kane won Golden Boot
ITV conducted a light-hearted, quickfire quiz with the England team, asking them a variety of World Cup related questions.
There were some surprising performances – not in a good way – but the final question was ‘Who won the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup?’.
All the England players shown got it right, apart from Maddison who guessed Kylian Mbappe, but he was reassured by the interviewer he would not tell Kane.
Kane took his maiden World Cup by storm and he will be looking to do so again, as his performance are so vital to England’s chances of success in Qatar.
With three more goals, he would overtake Wayne Rooney’s all-time England scoring record during the tournament, which would be some achievement.
But team glory has eluded Kane at club and international level and he will be determined to do whatever he can to bring the World Cup home.
