Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has now shared his disappointment over seeing his goal chalked off for England against Malta on Friday.
Rice entered the game as a substitute in the 61st minute and soon dispatched a brilliant effort into the Malta net.

However, the Arsenal man’s celebrations were then cut short by a perhaps harsh looking offside decision against Harry Kane.
The effort would have been Rice’s fourth goal for England on his 47th cap, but it wasn’t to be.
Speaking via Yahoo Sports, Rice said: “To be honest with you, going back to the other night I was gutted.
“When I picked the ball up and drove through and bent one into the far corner, I was buzzing because I don’t really score goals like that often.
“When it was chalked off I was gutted, but it was one of those where I didn’t want to get into something with the ref, get a silly yellow card.
“The game was won at 2-0 so it is one of those you have to take on the chin.
“Hopefully I can score one of those again, maybe tomorrow night, so we will have to wait and see.”
Arsenal’s Declan Rice denied a goal for England against Malta
Of course, Rice should have another chance to add to his England tally when they travel to North Macedonia tonight.
Rice may now be in line to start the final game of the qualifying campaign having been rested against Malta.

And Rice would surely be pleased to return to Arsenal with another strong England performance under his belt.
It would appear that goal-scoring is also now on the agenda under Mikel Arteta at club as well given Rice’s new role in the number eight.
The midfielder now seems unlikely to return to the pivot any time soon given Jorginho’s impressive recent form.
And although Arteta does have his options, he has reportedly still asked Arsenal to sign a £300k-a-week alternative in January.
The most important thing for Arsenal now will just be the return of all their stars fit and healthy ahead of a busy festive period.
A trip to Brentford is the horizon for Rice and co when they do arrive back from England duty in the coming days.
