Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has commented on the man who took his number nine shirt at Manchester City – Erling Haaland.
Jesus was interviewed by Rio Ferdinand for BT Sport and said that he is not a natural goalscorer in the same way Haaland is.
Pep Guardiola often opted to play with a false nine at City even when Jesus was the only senior forward at the club.
Now, Haaland is a guaranteed pick and Jesus has moved on to the Emirates Stadium, where he is the main man in Mikel Arteta’s attack.

Jesus on Haaland
He said: “I want to score goals. I want to score every time, one, two, three, four.
“I know the time I scored against Leicester and I was upset after the game because I had another two clear cut chances and I was disappointed because I want to [score again].
“Again, at the same point I understand I’m not like Haaland. Haaland is natural, you know? He’s going to score every game – two or three. They are born for this. I don’t know if I was born but I can improve.”
Haaland and Jesus have both added new dimensions to their new clubs in different ways.
The Brazilian has brought energy and dynamism to Arsenal’s frontline, offering a clear upgrade on Alexandre Lacazette from last season.
Haaland has given City a clinical edge and a focal point they have often played without under Guardiola and both have been among the best players in the league this term so far.
