'I told the players': Klopp shares what he said to Liverpool's players in the dressing room before Saints win
Jurgen Klopp has shared what he said to his much-changed Liverpool team in the dressing room before they beat Southampton last night.
Klopp made nine changes to keep his squad fresh amid a gruelling schedule and the Reds came from behind to win 2-1.
Takumi Minamino and Joel Matip netted the goals which means the title race will go down to the final day of the Premier League season.
Klopp spoke to BBC Sport after the game and praised his players for their ‘sensational’ performance despite his alterations.

“The way we played with nine changes is absolutely outstanding,” he said.
“As a squad and a group they have a clear understanding of how we want to play football.
“But you’re right players still have rhythm. I told the players before that we’re human kind, that’s always a good excuse, or we can fight until this game.
“The boys obviously decided to do that because I saw some sensational performances without rhythm tonight.”
It is a testament to the motivation and quality of the Liverpool squad that they dominated for most of last night’s game having made so many changes.
The fringe players got the job done and now it may well be over to the first teamers in the club’s last two matches of the season.
That said, Divock Origi scored in their last Champions League final win in 2019, so there is still scope for someone we might not expect to make themselves a hero.
