Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira has had his say on Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane in what has been a very difficult personal season for him.

The Englishman was desperate to leave Spurs in the summer. A move to Manchester City looked very likely at one point, but Daniel Levy made it clear that he was going nowhere.

Kane was left with no choice but to stay put and that clearly has had a negative impact on his performances this season. The 28-year-old has scored just two goals in the Premier League this term, which is a shocking record, especially for a player who has always been incredible.

Vieira was quizzed about Kane and the Arsenal legend believes that the Englishman is getting back to his best.

Patrick Vieira: Harry Kane will be a different player in Tottenham v Crystal Palace

Kane started for Tottenham against Liverpool last time out in the Premier League and the Englishman scored. Vieira admitted that he analysed that game and claimed that the Spurs star is getting back to his best.

The Frenchman said about Kane, as per The Daily Mail: “We did our homework in the last couple games he played for Spurs.

“‘I think he is getting back to his best and he will be a different player this time.”

A look at Kane’s record against Palace

Kane’s record against most teams in England is brilliant and it’s no different when he comes up against the Eagles.

Since he made his debut for Tottenham, Kane has played 15 games against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. He has scored seven goals, produced five assists and has been on the winning side on 10 occasions.

He will be looking to continue the good run against the South Londoners again this afternoon if the game goes ahead as planned, but Palace are a lot different under Vieira now, and it won’t be an easy game for Antonio Conte’s men.
