Roberto Martinez has admitted that Albert Sambi Lokonga missed last night’s Belgium match due to a small injury.
Speaking to Walfoot, the Red Devils manager said that the Arsenal midfielder was left out of the clash against Belarus because of a knock the 21-year-old picked up in training.
Lokonga made his senior debut for Belgium this international break. But the youngster’s game time was limited due to this injury ahead of the final match of the period.

However, the injury to Lokonga doesn’t appear to be a bad one. As per the report, the Belgian star will be fit for Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Norwich City.
Moreover, Lokonga did not feature at all in Arsenal’s weekly injury update list. The return of Thomas Partey means that the former R.S.C. Anderlecht star will likely partner the Ghanian international.
Whilst Lokonga is set to be free of injury for this weekend’s match against the Canaries, Arsenal fans on social media believe that the club are cursed.

Emile Smith Rowe became unwell over the international break, whilst Granit Xhaka tested positive for COVID-19 for Switzerland. And fans thought Lokonga had suffered a similar setback.
Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say about this update on Lokonga from Martinez on Twitter…
