‘I see another Cesc’: Some Arsenal fans think the club has just unearthed the new Fabregas

Arsenal fans believe one of the club’s academy prospects has a similar style of play to Cesc Fabregas.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta gave Jack Henry-Francis his senior debut in Tuesday’s friendly against Hibernian.

The 17-year-old came on off the bench in Edinburgh, replacing Mohamed Elneny with 17 minutes to go.

And Henry-Francis impressed fans with his movement, quick distribution and desire to have the ball.

He also played a part in Emile Smith Rowe’s goal on 82 minutes, which turned out to be a consolation.

Even though Arsenal lost 2-1, there were still positives from the runout, and the Hale End gem’s performance was one of those.

Here is what some fans were saying about Henry-Francis:

Henry-Francis was a fringe player for Arsenal’s Under-18s at the start of last season but it didn’t take him long to make his mark.

In the first three months of the campaign, he made just two substitute appearances, but he then nailed down a first-team spot in Ken Gillard’s XI.

And by the end of the season, Henry-Francis had even started a few games for the Under-23s.

It looks as though he has impressed Mikel Arteta in pre-season so far and fans will no doubt keep an eye on how he does in the coming weeks and months.
