'I never saw this coming': Some Liverpool fans react as teenager inches closer to 'mad' loan move

Liverpool youngster Jakub Ojrzynski is close to sealing a loan move to Welsh side Caernarfon Town.

As reported by the Liverpool Echo, the teenager will spend next season with the Cymru Premier side. Ojrzynski played for both the U-18 and U-23 sides last season.

The teenager is highly rated at Liverpool and has found himself in the matchday squad on a handful of occasions. However, Ojrzynski is yet to play a first-team minute since joining the Reds in 2019.

And after impressing for the youth sides last season, Ojrzynski will now test himself in the senior game for the first time in his career. The youngster signed a new long-term deal with the club last week.

Liverpool have enjoyed success in recent years in loaning young players to lower-league clubs in the United Kingdom.

Rhys Williams spent the 2019/20 campaign with sixth-tier English side Kidderminster Harriers, with the defender making 19 appearances for the Liverpool first-team last season.

Indeed, supporters are hoping Ojrzynski can enjoy a successful spell with Caernarfon next season.

Caernarfon announced the Ojrzynski arrival on social media on Twitter. However, the post has since been deleted by the club, indicating that the announcement was a mistake.

However, Ojrzynski played in Caernarfon’s friendly match against Holywell Town. As per the Liverpool Echo, the club have said the youngster’s move was subject to international clearance.
