Robert Sanchez has admitted to Sky Sports that he really misses Ben White, after the defender signed for Arsenal this summer.
Big talent
Arsenal agreed a £50 million fee with Brighton & Hove Albion to take the centre-back (The Sun).
And for Sanchez seeing one of his closest friends depart was difficult.
The pair had grown up together at Brighton, before breaking into the first-team at similar times.
And Sanchez admits that he always knew White was going to get a move, as the Arsenal new boy was always so talented.
“Obviously I miss him a lot,” he said.
“We grew up in the same team – in the under 23’s and went on loan at the same time and then broke through at the same time.
“He was a great friend, and unbelievable player and I knew he was going to make that move sooner or later.
“For the team we will miss him a lot, he helped a lot in the team. But we have unbelievable players here, who are going to fill the gap that is missing now.”

Under pressure
White is under pressure to make a big impact at Arsenal, given the sheer scale of the fee that Mikel Arteta’s side paid to sign him.
The initial signs have been positive for the 23-year-old though, as he has enjoyed a strong pre-season.
White is now expected to make his competitive debut for Arsenal on Friday evening, when they take on Brentford in the Premier League’s curtain raiser.
