'I love this guy': Hector Bellerin sends message to £30m Arsenal player before he leaves the Emirates

Hector Bellerin has paid tribute to Arsenal teammate Granit Xhaka as he moves closer to leaving the Emirates Stadium.

Reports in Spain claim that most elements of a deal to take Bellerin back to Real Betis on a free transfer are in place.

Mucho Deporte claim that few problems are expected with the deal and everything is practically agreed, but Betis have to wait for outgoings first.

Bellerin is a priority and he is willing to give up a portion of his wages to make the return to La Liga happen on a permanent basis.

But while all parties wait for the deal to go through, Bellerin has been in pre-season with Arsenal, going on their tour of America.

He also watched this week’s pre-season friendly with Brentford, in which a team of inexperienced and fringe players went down 2-1.

Xhaka was alongside him and he posted on his Instagram story a photo of the pair together, with the caption: “I love this guy, what a person”.

Both Bellerin and Xhaka have had their fair share of critics during their time at Arsenal, dating back to the Arsene Wenger era.

Xhaka joined for £30 million (Sky Sports) in May 2016, but could leave the club next summer, according to journalist Freddie Paxton.

Bellerin’s exit looks more imminent, and it would be a real surprise if he is considered for first team selection when the serious action starts next week.
