'I love that': Thierry Henry says one Tottenham player has become 'complete'
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been described as “the complete striker” by Thierry Henry.
The Premier League legend, speaking on Amazon Prime, has backed the Spurs star to beat Alan Shearer’s all-time goalscoring record in the competition.
Kane is currently third on the Premier League all-time scoring list, with Wayne Rooney in second and Shearer at the summit.
The Tottenham star is currently on 192, while Rooney is on 208 and Shearer is on 260.
Kane is back to his best, with nine goals from his 10 league appearances prior to the Manchester United match.
The 29-year-old is one of the best strikers in world football, though he’s much more than just a standard No. 9.
Kane can also provide a spark dropping deep and linking up play when required, akin to a No. 10.
And Henry, speaking ahead of the Manchester United match, couldn’t help but sing the Spurs star’s praises.
“He has become the complete striker,” he said, as transcribed by The Spurs Express.
“I love that. I respect that. Alan Shearer’s all-time record is gonna go. “
Can Kane break his trophy duck this season?
As one of the best players in the world, it beggars belief that Kane is yet to lift a major trophy in his career.
He has come close for both club and country, getting to finals, but so far, silverware has eluded him.
However, Tottenham have picked up form, while England, despite their recent poor performances, could well step it up at the World Cup.
This could prove to be a huge season for Kane, and hopefully everything clicks so that he can finally lift a major trophy.
