'I love him': Some Spurs fans laud 29-year-old ace's 'winning mentality' in following interview

Spurs attacker Lucas Moura has revealed that he has an ambition of winning silverware with the north London side.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil, the Tottenham star admitted that he is eager to achieve something with the Premier League side. Lucas joined Spurs in 2018, however, the winger is yet to win a single trophy with the club.

The Brazilian guided Spurs to both a UEFA Champions League and League Cup final. But Spurs were beaten in both games against Liverpool and Manchester City respectively.

Spurs have not won any silverware since the 2008 League Cup. Indeed, Jose Mourinho was appointed to break this 13-year drought without any silverware, yet this move did not go to plan for Tottenham.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping to bring trophies back to north London this season. And Lucas is eager to achieve something with Spurs in the coming years.

The winger said: “I am playing in a big league, in a big club. I have the goal of winning a title with Tottenham, which I have not achieved yet. I still have some goals to achieve here.”

Indeed, Lucas’ comments struck a chord with Spurs fans, who are eager to see the winger lift silverware with the club before moving on from the north London side.
