'I like what I see': David Seaman raves about Arsenal player, really hopes he'll shine next season
Arsenal legend David Seaman has praised Gunners midfielder Thomas Partey.
Seaman says he liked what he saw from the 27-year-old and hopes he’ll have a better second season.
Partey joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid last summer after the Gunners had triggered his £45million release clause.
As a long-term target for the Gunners, he arrived at the Emirates Stadium to much fanfare.
However, his maiden season in north London wasn’t plain sailing amid some injury and fitness issues.
Partey showed glimpses of his quality throughout the 2020-21 Premier League campaign.
However, he struggled for consistency at times.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Seaman spoke about Arsenal’s issues last season and what he thinks they should do this summer.
On the subject of Partey, he said: “Partey in midfield has done well, I like what I see with him.
“I want to see a more consistent season from him and hopefully that’s going to happen next year.”

The sheer euphoria amongst Arsenal fans when Partey joined the Gunners is testament to his quality.
He’s not the only Gunners player who struggled last term – most flattered to deceive.
Hopefully the whole Arsenal contingent can kick on next season – but there’s a lot to work on.
