Premier League new-boys Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest are both interested in Newcastle United’s Jamal Lewis.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has said in an interview on YouTube that there is growing interest in the Northern Ireland international.
It seems French Ligue 1 outfit Nice are currently as interested as anybody in landing Lewis from St James’ Park, but he has other potential suitors too.
Forest have been in the market for a host of players and it seems their fellow promoted club Bournemouth, managed by former Magpies man Scott Parker, are also in the mix.

Forest and Bournemouth interested in Lewis
He said: “If Newcastle are to be busy on the final day of the window, I believe it will be around the outgoings. They need to reduce the squad a little bit. Jamal Lewis seems to be like a little bit of a forgotten player.
“I know there was a little bit of initial interest from Nottingham Forest in him and Bournemouth were also looking too earlier in the window, but nothing was advanced. The latest club linked are Nice.
“There is circling interest and he would be a good signing. He could easily find a second wind at the club he joins.
“I don’t think it would be a disaster if he stayed but there is growing interest in him for sure.”
Lewis made just four Premier League starts last season, and was left out of the 25-man named squad after the January transfer window.
Recently, Eddie Howe told the Shields Gazette how impressed he has been with Lewis, during a summer in which he has bought Matt Targett, making his loan deal permanent.
“Jamal, we hope, can stay fit and show us what he’s capable of,” said Howe.
“I believe in him as a player, but he’s just had really bad luck. He’s got a lot to offer physically, we’ve certainly seen that in pre-season – an incredible athlete.
