Lewis Cook has told The Bournemouth Echo that he is not thinking about speculation linking him with Liverpool.
According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea and Liverpool are hoping to sign Cook from Bournemouth. But the young midfielder says that his full focus is on the project with Eddie Howe’s men.
Cook is back in the Bournemouth side after rupturing his ACL back in December 2018. After a lengthy recovery and rehabilitation period, the once-capped England midfielder was back on the pitch last month.
The ex-Leeds United man regained his starting spot against Norwich City and will be hoping to kick on. He has reassured Bournemouth fans that his full commitment is towards the project on the south coast.
Cook on his future

Cook told The Bournemouth Echo: “I had been out for a long time, so I am just focusing on Bournemouth at the moment. I am loving being back and playing football.
“I just forget about it (the speculation) really. You’ve just got to focus on your football here and keep enjoying it. I am obviously enjoying playing football again – that’s all I am focusing on right now.”
TBR’s view
Cook is an exceptionally talented footballer and it is inevitable that the ‘big clubs’ will be trying to poach him. But for now, he is best advised to stay at Bournemouth.
After such a long injury, the 22-year-old needs to be in a familiar environment where he knows he will get minutes under his belt. Once he is back to his best and playing consistent football over a period of time, he can think about his next career step.
