Micky van de Ven has confirmed he did not pick up a new injury for Tottenham in their 2-2 draw against Manchester United.
The 22-year-old centre-back made his first appearance for Spurs since November having spent the last two months out on the treatment table with a hamstring injury.
Named in the starting XI at Old Trafford, Van de Ven impressed at the back for Tottenham, though the defender was forced to come off late on due to a cramp.

However, speaking to Tottenham’s official Twitter account, the Dutch international revealed that he hasn’t picked up a new injury and is feeling good after last night’s match.
Indeed, Van de Ven picking up another injury would have been a nightmare scenario for Tottenham, even with the north London side signing Radu Dragusin this January transfer window.
Van de Ven said: “I had a feeling I was out for two years! It was feeling really long. But I am really happy to be back. I had a little cramp at the end of the game but I have no problems and I feel good.”
Tottenham can’t afford to lose Micky van de Ven to injury again

Van de Ven showed his quality last night in Manchester, with the Dutch defender one of Tottenham’s best players in what was an entertaining fixture at Old Trafford.
With the 22-year-old centre-back now fully back from injury, keeping Van de Ven fit will be key for Spurs in their mission to claim UEFA Champions League qualification.
And moves made this month could be key in keeping Van de Ven as fit as possible, with the arrival of Dragusin a massive boost to Tottenham’s defensive options.
