BBC Sport pundit Mark Lawrenson has given his prediction for the Premier League meeting between Leicester and Arsenal on Saturday.

The Foxes and the Gunners lock horns in the East Midlands at 12:30pm following progress to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

The hosts are unbeaten in five games in all competitions and are ninth in the table, level on points with 10th-placed Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta’s charges have gone eight games without defeat and look much improved since the start of the season.

Leicester made it through to the last eight of the Carabao Cup following their penalty shootout win over Brighton on Wednesday.

Likewise, Arsenal are in the hat for the quarter-final draw after running out 2-0 winners over Leeds.

Lawrenson says he’s “still not convinced” by the Gunners, and feels Leicester will claim a narrow 2-1 victory against the Emirates outfit.

“I am still not convinced by Arsenal, especially on the road,” he wrote on BBC Sport.

“They are on a nice little unbeaten run but, other than Tottenham, they have not beaten anyone you wouldn’t expect them to.

“Their other wins were against Norwich, Burnley, AFC Wimbledon, Aston Villa and Leeds.

“The Gunners were fortunate to nick a point at home to Crystal Palace too.

“Although they have turned a corner in terms of results, really you are just waiting for the next poor performance from them – because it will come.

“Leicester left out Jamie Vardy for their Carabao Cup win over Brighton on Wednesday.

“He will be rested, ready and hungry for this game, and I have a strong feeling he will score.”
