Darren Bent has given his verdict on speculation that Arsenal could sell Emile Smith Rowe in the January transfer window.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker and Arsenal fan cannot believe that the Gunners could reportedly offload Smith Rowe this month.
So, what has Darren Bent said about Arsenal and Emile Smith Rowe? Let’s take a look.
Darren Bent comments on Arsenal player Emile Smith Rowe
Well, Darren Bent has been sharing his opinion on Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe, and the former Tottenham Hotspur striker is not impressed by what he is hearing about his situation.
The talkSPORT pundit, who is an Arsenal fan, cannot believe that Arsenal could sell Smith Rowe in the January transfer window.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal would have to offload either Smith Rowe or Eddie Nketiah to make a big signing this month.

Journalist Dean Jones has also said that the Gunners could be tempted to cash in on the 23-year-old England international winger if they get a good offer, noting past interest in him from Aston Villa.
Bent said about Smith Rowe on talkSPORT (4:25 pm, January 8, 2024): “The one that’s worried me is Smith Rowe, couple of years back, him and Saka pretty much saved Arteta’s job.
“When Arteta was struggling, them two were the two that stepped up. For whatever reason, I think Smith Rowe has had his injuries, but they are talking about using him in deals to bring in other players. I don’t understand that.”
My View: Emile Smith Rowe may have to leave Arsenal in 2024 summer
In my opinion, if Emile Smith Rowe does not get enough chances in the coming weeks and months, then he has to leave Arsenal in the summer of 2024. He simply has to.
I do not see any point in the 23-year-old sitting on the bench at Arsenal just because he has come through the North London club’s youth system.
Smith Rowe is only 23 and has put his injury problems behind him. He is good enough to play for another top team in England.
The England international has made 73 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. Smith Rowe has scored 12 goals and given nine assists in those games.
