‘I don’t think’… Chris Sutton predicts who’ll be winning tonight – Tottenham or Man City

Tottenham face Manchester City in the FA Cup this evening in what should be a very interesting game.

City, as we all know, are the reigning FA Cup champions, but they may well be headed into this game as slight underdogs.

Indeed, as great as City have been for a long time, Pep Guardiola’s side are still yet to win a game or even score a goal at Spurs’ new stadium.

However, speaking on the It’s All Kicking Off Podcast, Chris Sutton has backed City to end that streak as he says that he expects Pep Guardiola’s side to get past Spurs on Friday.

The pundit shared his verdict on how this one will pan out.

“I think if you look at Spurs’ home record against Man City in recent times, there’s every reason to believe they can take City down, but I don’t think they will, Son is such a big player for them, Richarlison is coming to the fore,” Sutton said.

Won’t be easy

City may well fancy their chances of ending their poor run of results away at Tottenham, but it won’t be easy.

Indeed, Spurs have shown this season that they’re more than capable of beating anyone, and Spurs have them a real game at the Etihad earlier this season despite only having half a squad available to them due to injuries and suspensions.

Spurs should be able to field a much stronger squad this time around, and who knows? Perhaps they could, once again, get the better of Pep Guardiola’s side.

It’s hard to ever back against a team as good as Manchester City, but if there is any team in England that appear to have their number, it’s Tottenham Hotspur.

This should be a great match and one of the best ties of the round.
