'I don't know': What Eric Dier and Arsenal's Bukayo Saka said when meeting at England camp, Tottenham man left confused

The England squad met-up at St George’s Park today ahead of their World Cup campaign in Qatar. A video on the Three Lions’ YouTube channel shows what Eric Dier and Arsenal star Bukayo Saka said to each other when they met, and it left the Tottenham Hotspur man confused.

Dier forced his way back into the England set-up in September after an impressive start to the season under Antonio Conte.

The 28-year-old has now joined up with his England teammates as they prepare to fly out to Qatar today. The England squad were filmed arriving at the training facilities and Dier was sporting a beanie hat.

Saka complimented the Spurs man on his attire, but Dier was unsure if the Arsenal star was joking with him.

What Dier and Saka said when meeting at England camp

The pair may be rivals when it comes to club football, but this England squad have built a brilliant bond under Southgate.

Dier and Saka embraced each other with a hug as they met up with their teammates this morning.

Saka noticed Dier’s hat and commented: “Nice hat, bro.”

“Thank you. I don’t know if you’re being serious or not,” Dier responded.

The Arsenal winger smiled and reassured Dier that he was not joking.

He said: “Nice hat bro. Of course I’m being serious.”

Saka has been in brilliant form for his club this season and has helped Mikel Arteta’s men open up a gap at the top of the table.

The 21-year-old was part of the Arsenal side that beat Spurs 3-1 back in October. But it seems that the pair get along quite well outside of their club duties.

Southgate will be hoping Saka can continue his brilliant form into the World Cup as he aims to guide England to their first international honour in over 50 years.

The Three Lions kick-off their campaign against Iran next Monday and will be aiming to go one better after reaching the semi-finals and the final in the last two major tournaments.
